I mainly listen to Good News Kelly, the weeks episode, and HSP:SOS with Michelle Lynn.
First off, Kelly is such a wonderful person. She is always sending out words of encouragement. Yes, I’m sure she has a couple spouts of not feeling positive, but she breaks from that and tries to see the good in everything. She has an amazing story to tell. She is a strong woman that has been through a lot and still sees the positive side of life. She is here, I believe, to help spread good feeling about life. She has helped me see the good in things that I have never thought of. Whenever I’m having a bad day, I love to sit down and just listen to some of her past podcasts. They are full of words of wisdom and kindness. She is one of a kind and a true role model.
After listening to the Captain’s Pod for some time now, I have realized that there is so much to life. There are many, many, many important issues out there that the podcast reaches out to that other people are afraid of. They get the word out and show what people are trying to hide or say that some of these things don’t exist (domestic abuse & suicide prevention). But they talk about what you can do to get help. There are shelters and hotlines out there. They open themselves up. They are not afraid to discuss what matters to them. They are here to reach out and help. Even if you don’t think that the one episode that week applies to you, you applies to someone else. Each of us have struggles is life. They are showing that, and that you are not alone in fighting in them. Then they also talk about other positive issues. Positive stories like big dog rescues, foster kids, and why some people start charities to help other people. And of course, there are some fun episodes too. The crew loves to laugh and have fun. That is what life is all about. There are up and down, we all know that. It’s all about trying to stay positive and have fun in this crazy life of ours!
HSP:SOS…… Highly Sensitive Person
Wow. When I first heard the first episode, I was intrigued. I thought, “This is truly me. She is talking about me”. And as the episodes kept coming, I was like how does she know what I’m thinking and feeling? Is she in my head? Come to find out, I am a sensitive person, and I am proud of who I am. I am not ashamed to be a sensitive person. Some people say that “It’s a weakness” and to “Grow a backbone”. You shouldn’t be ashamed of who you are. It’s what makes you, YOU!!!! Through this podcast, I have learned that there are other like me. That I am not the only sensitive person in this world. Even though I sometimes try not show it, it still comes out and that it’s ok to feel that way. There are different types of people in this world. You know like Introverts and Extroverts. And that we coexist with each other. We help each other. Michelle even gives suggestions on how to help you deal with your sensitivity. And gives you advice with problems you see within yourself to help fix. She opens herself up ( very unusual for an Introvert to do). She talk about relationships with sensitive people. It’s really an amazing podcast!!! It has helped me grow and help me find who I truly am and not what other people want me to be.
I have also listened to Eric the Wondermutt. That’s just a funny podcast that I enjoy.
Ashley’s podcast is a great one for gamers. She is very intelligent and a great person all around. She is funny and a sweetheart. If you love video games, giver a listen to her podcast.
